Our Story

Lichfield Orchestral Society was formed by a small group of people in 1957. It started as a chamber orchestra but has grown in size and now performs full symphonic works as well as lighter music.

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with a special concert in 2007. Read more about the history of the Sinfonia.

Past Concerts

We perform two main concerts each year in Lichfield Guildhall, as well as summer concerts in other local venues.

Join Us

If you enjoy playing orchestral music then you might like to join Lichfield Sinfonia. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in Lichfield. There are currently vacancies for horns and all strings, especially cellos.
